A full-service move is hands-off and expensive. A self-service move (container or truck plus your own labor) is cheaper but puts the work on you. This is the foundational tradeoff every mover weighs.
Verdict: Self-service to save the most when you can do the packing and loading. Full-service when the move is large, long-distance, or full of valuables and your time and back are worth the premium.
