Step: Photograph each piece before you take it apart
Step: Read any manual or look up assembly instructions
Step: Remove legs, shelves, and panels in order
Step: Bag the screws and bolts for each piece separately
Step: Tape each hardware bag to the furniture it belongs to
Step: Keep delicate fittings and dowels in labeled bags
Step: Wrap panels and parts in blankets to prevent scratches
Step: Reassemble in reverse using your photos as a guide
