How to Move Cutting Boards

Cutting boards are simple to move, but stacking them carelessly or letting wood boards get damp can cause warping. A flat stack with paper between each board is all it takes.

Pro tip: Rub a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil on wood boards before a long move or storage period to help them resist drying out and cracking.

Watch out: Do not pack a wood cutting board while it is even slightly damp; moisture trapped in a sealed box for days is a common cause of warping and mildew.
