How to Move a Grill

A grill is straightforward to move once you handle the fuel safely. The main jobs are disconnecting and transporting the propane tank correctly, cleaning out grease and ash, and securing the lid and loose grates so nothing rattles or spills.

Pro tip: Do a soap-and-water leak check at the connection after reconnecting the tank at the new home.

Watch out: Never transport a propane tank sealed inside a hot, unventilated vehicle. Keep it upright, capped, and ventilated.
