How to Move a Kegerator

A kegerator is a refrigerator with a draft system, so it combines fridge rules with the extra hazard of a pressurized CO2 tank. Remove the keg, secure or transport the CO2 cylinder safely, and give the compressor the same upright rest a fridge needs.

Pro tip: Cap the CO2 cylinder valve and strap the tank so it cannot roll, since a snapped valve turns a tank into a projectile.

Watch out: A CO2 tank is pressurized. Close the valve, secure it upright and separately, and never leave it loose where it can be knocked over or heated.
