A reclining sectional comes apart at its connectors just like a standard sectional, but every separated piece also has its own footrest mechanism and possibly its own wiring to manage.
Pro tip: Sketch which section had which cable connection before you separate anything, reclining sectionals have more wiring than standard sectionals.
Watch out: Separating sections removes the lateral support that was keeping each recliner's footrest strap in place, secure every footrest before you disconnect anything.
