How to Move a Play Kitchen

A play kitchen is mostly molded plastic, which means its corners and thin countertop edges are the parts most likely to crack, not the frame itself. Empty it, check for a full breakdown option, and pad the vulnerable edges.

Pro tip: If the kitchen disassembles, label each bolt bag by section, base, counter, and hutch, rather than lumping all hardware together, since screw sizes often differ between sections.

Watch out: Molded plastic parts, especially clear plastic glass stovetop pieces and oven windows, crack easily in cold moving trucks; pad them well if moving in winter.
