How to Move a Spinning Wheel

A spinning wheel is a graceful, fragile assembly of thin spokes, a flyer, and a treadle. Remove the working parts and cushion the delicate wood, and it travels beautifully.

Pro tip: Photograph the wheel assembled and note the drive band routing so it re-strings correctly.

Watch out: Do not let anything press against the wheel spokes; they are thin and snap easily under point pressure.
